Abstract：

In this talk, I will give a summary on the study of the finitistic dimension conjecture. I mainly focus on the following two aspects: the method used to study the finitistic dimension conjecture through extensions of Artin algebras, and the work on the comparison of the finitistic dimenison of  induced by an idempotent  in an Artin algebra  .
