Abstract :  We studied structure and dynamics of ions in nanofluidic devices, where dielectric effect plays important role. The ionic cloud surrounding a mobile ion near an interface is tunable due to the force from image charges, thus, the ionic structure mobility is significantly different from that in region far from the interface. We developed mathematical model to describe the Coulomb correlation and the relaxation force by using Debye charging process of electrolytes and extending the Onsager-Fuoss theory such that the model includes the interfacial effect. Numerical results and analysis are present to show the performance of the model and related methods.
