Abstract : This talk presents recent work on the small data global well-posedness for the Oldroyd-B models with fractional dissipation. We focus on two results. The first is the small data global well-posedness for the Oldroyd-B model with only fractional dissipation in the equation of the stress tensor (no velocity dissipation and no stress tensor damping). Any fractional power greater than or equal to 1/2 is sufficient. The second result is for the Oldroyd-B model with only fractional velocity dissipation. The small data global well-posedness is established when the fractional power of the Laplacian is greater than 1/2.
