Abstract : Quantum information is one of the frontier areas of science with potential to revolutionise future computation and communication systems. Even though tremendous progress have been made over last several decades, the precise definition of quantum information is still lacking. Of course, one can imagine that it is the information contained in a quantum state. However, by asking question how different is quantum information from classical information, we can make progress in our understanding about the nature of quantum information. In this talk, I will review some of the fundamental differences between quantum and classical information with the hope that these will underpin what is quantum about quantum information.
