题目： On the Burness-Giudici Conjecture

Abstract :  Let G be a permutation group on a set M.  A subset of M is a base for G if its pointwise stabilizer in G is trivial. By b(G) we denote the size of the smallest base of G.

The vertex set of a Saxl graph of  G on M is just M and two vertices is an edge of if and only if this two vertices is an base size set.t is conjectured  by Burness-Giudici  that  the Saxl graph of every primitive group G with b(G)=2 has diameter 2. An affirmative answer  of the conjecture has been shown  for  all sporadic simple groups  and some  alternative groups , but it  is still open for  Lie type simple groups. The first candidate of infinite family of Lie type simple groups we should work on might be PSL(2,q).  In this talk  we show the correctness of the conjecture for this group.
