Abstract : We present some results on the entire solutions for the semilinear biharmonic equation$$/Delta^2 u= - u^{-p},/;/; u>0 /quad /text{in}~/R^N,$$where $p>0$ and $N/geq 3$. In particular, the stability outside a compact set of the entire radial solutions will be completely studied, which resolves a remaining case. The second part of the talk concerns the necessary and sufficient conditions for a regular positive entire solution $u$ to be a radially symmetric solution. This is based on joint works with X. Huang, W. Long, Z.M. Guo and D. Ye.
