In this seminar, Shuguang will give an overview of how statistics are applied in the biotech/healthcare industry in the US. It is hoped that the audience would get motivation in statistics, especially the use of statistics in the real world.

Shuguang achieved his PhD in Statistics from Northwestern University in 2001. Over his career time, Shuguang has worked at large pharmaceutical companies (Eli Lilly, Wyeth, and Pfizer) for more than 10 years. He then worked at a diagnostic company for 6 years. Shuguang found his own consulting company, Stat4ward, in 2014. Currently his company provides consulting services to pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, diagnostic companies, and other healthcare companies.
