摘要：

The Grothendieck-Ogg-Shafarevich formula for curves is generalized to higher dimensional smooth varieties by using Swan classes and also by using characteristic cycles. Following a suggestion by T. Saito, we show that the Swan classes can be computed in terms of characteristic cycles on proper smooth surfaces over finite fields. This is a joint work with Yigeng Zhao and Umezaki.
